Hopefully today I will be able to get photos that go beyond the "palace of the people" or my view out of a cab window. Although my day is not totally free I am grabbing the morning to do a bit of site seeing. Yesterday was a question mark at the start whether the plenary, where all the
150 countries are represented in the room by somone from their delegation,
Would need to continue into the night because so few of the Draft resolutions had been opened.
But some how through the day people got sensible and stopped knit picking or taking opportunities to get themselves in a photo by talking and things speeded up enough to open all the DRs by 6.40. As today, Wednesday, is the writing day where all the corrections and or additions to the drafts get put in, most of the delegates get to go off on one day excursions to yes you guessed it, wetlands and nature parks. The Romanian government offered these free and so most people will go off on buses this morning and be gone all day.
I am grabbing a few hours this morning to see what I can between hotel and palace and then go in to give a hand with the rewrites. I am also on the hunt for a spa we can go to tonight. Pictures later.
