Day one in Paris, Bea was there at Charles de Gaulle to meet me when I emerged from the arrivals lounge around 7am. Lucky she is tall because I found HER in the crowd. We made our way by train and bus to her 3rd floor apt in the 20th agrondisement. After a wonderful shower off we went to do some exploring, most of which was on foot in the Marais, a trendy neighborhood near Notre Dame. We were aiming to go into the cathedral but the line was just too long. We shared a lovely lunch at a bustling corner cafe.
There are many many cages and it is very common to see people sitting on chairs all facing the street, like they are watching a show. We also went down the street which is the Mecca for felafel, there were
3or4 places in a row and they all had lines, so they must be good, but alas we had already had our dejeuner. We also passed a few Jewish food places, a few pictures to share around these shops. Overall the streets were lovely and so interesting to walk around we went through and by many parks and they were always filled with people enjoying life. That might be all for this first blog on the road. Iam using my iPad and am taking advantage of the free wifi at maccas!
